While I’ve been on vacation GarPax have been making some moves in free agency!
New Faces:
Thaddeus Young – Defensive Wing/Big
Tomas Satoransky – Versatile Guard
Luke Kornet – Intriguing Big
Returning:
Ryan Arcidiacono – Leader in Win Share
Gone But Still Argued About:
Robin Lopez
Wayne Selden Jr
Timothe Luwawu-Cabarrot
Walt Lemon Jr
I don’t know what the official status of Shaq Harrison is, if the Bulls have released him or not, but it doesn’t make much sense to keep him now that they’ve re-signed Arch.
The Bulls roster, as it stands today, looks like this:
Guards – Satoransky, Coby White, Kris Dunn, Arch, Zach LaVine, Denzel Valentine, Antonio Blakeney, Shaq Harrison(?)
Forwards – Lauri Markkanen, Young, Otto Porter Jr, Chandler Hutchison
Centers – Wendell Carter Jr, Kornet, Daniel Gafford, Cristiano Felicio
This would put the roster at 16 players, one more than the league allows, which I guess means Shaq is out of a job, or the Bulls are going to get serious about trading Dunn.
I’ll get into what Young, Satoransky, and Kornet bring to the Bulls in future posts. Now that I’m back from vacation, I can focus some time and energy into the moves the Front Office has made this offseason. The quick version is that I like the signings, and I think GarPax have improved the team. Whether it’s enough to put them in the playoff hunt remains to be seen, but I’m going to give them credit for making what appear to be some solid moves.
This weekend marks the beginning of NBA Summer League Las Vegas, I can’t wait to see how the young players acquit themselves. I will provide updates throughout the tournament. Until then, thanks for reading, and GO BULLS!
